Hard to believe, especially when it doesn’t have the optical drive sticking out like in the presented image, but this piece of beautiful china is actually a PC.
Presented at the Computex exhibition in Taipei this year, ECS stunned the visitors with this literally beautiful piece of technology. The concept features a Blue-ray optical drive, an Intel Atom 230 processor, a Nvidia ION GPU, uses 2.5″ hard drives, and has 1 GB of DDR3 RAM. The power jack, two USB ports, an Ethernet port and an HDMI port are all hidden within the base of the vase, and the on/off switch button is hidden at the top of the vase.
Although not available for purchase yet, this concept PC vase makes you reflect on how future technology will look like: technology hidden in ordinary things or alien-looking gadgets like those in sci-fi movies?
