Designed by Swimovate, the Pool Mate Watch has a built-in accelerometer which keeps count of your lap tracks.
If you’re an amateur or professional swimmer, you know that trying to count your lap tracks isn’t easy and affects your performance. But what can you do when there’s no one around who can help you? The designers at Swimovate solved this problem with the Pool-Mate, a water resistant watch with a built in accelerometer. The Pool-Mate is able to accurately count laps in pools longer that 10 meters (99.75% accurate to be more precise) and also offer you other details, like strokes per lap ratio, distance, calories burned and speed. The battery of the watch lasts for 12 months and you have to send it back to them to replace it, which is kind of annoying.
The Pool-Mate watch costs about US $114.
