Thanks to Tobias Wong’s On/Off light switch you don’t have to. This device is able to switch off every household item you can plug into a power outlet, including lamps. And it’s really simple to use also: plug in the the remote receiver, plug the lamp in the receiver and you’re set. Whenever you want to switch off the lamp take the portable switch, open the lid and switch it off. This remote light switch works to distances of up to 100 feet.

The On/Off light switch comes in a standard chrome version which retails for US $150 and a limited 14-karat gold version which retails for US $240.
