It appears like the demand for free and green energy has produced an avalanche of green-energy gadgets.
Here’s another example: HYmini, the hybrid mini green power station that uses several ways of harvesting energy. The HYmini is a tiny gadget that harvests the wind energy and transforms it into electrical energy to power up our 5-volt gadgets, harvests solar energy with the aid of a detachable solar panel, stores energy collected from a wall plug, has a PC / laptop USB 2.0 outlet, and has a bicycle dynamo hub generator. The best way to harvest green electricity with this gadget is place it on a bicycle, motorcycle or car, in such a way that the fan faces the wind. A two hours bicycle ride will power up your MP3 player for over 2 hours and speak on the phone for 15 minutes. Of course, the higher the speed of the vehicle, the faster you harvest energy.
The HYmini costs $50.
